What Sound Frequency Actually Does In The Body

22 August 2026

Before it's music, sound is vibration, mechanical energy moving through a medium, whether that's air, water, or the tissue of your own body. That's the starting point for almost everything I do in a session.

How Frequency Is Felt in the Body

Different frequencies are felt differently. Lower frequencies tend to be felt more in the chest and gut, higher ones closer to the surface, in the skin and the small bones of the ear. Some traditions and some researchers have explored particular frequencies, 432Hz among them, for their effect on relaxation and focus. I've worked with these ideas for years and find them genuinely useful in how I sequence a session, but I want to be honest that the research on any single frequency having a specific, universal effect is still developing, not settled. I hold it as part of my own practice framework, not as proven medical fact, and I'd encourage you to stay curious and look into it yourself rather than take it as given.

A Chapter I've Grown Beyond

Earlier in my work, I also explored scalar energy and light-based technology as part of a broader wellness practice on the Gold Coast. That was a real and valuable chapter, and I'm grateful for what it taught me about frequency and the body. My work has since grown beyond it, and these days my sessions centre on tuning forks, singing bowls and other acoustic instruments rather than that earlier technology.

What Actually Stays True

What hasn't changed is the underlying idea: the body responds to vibration before the mind has a chance to interpret it. That's not mysticism, it's physics meeting physiology. What I can't promise is a specific outcome for a specific person, every body is different, and what I can offer is presence, intention, and instruments chosen with care for what's in front of me that day.

If you'd like to feel this rather than just read about it, private sessions and the fortnightly sound bath circle are both a good place to start. For more on the field behind it, see what is neuro-acoustic science.
